Turned to Memories is the first album from the duo Kristin Skaare (piano) and Andreas Amundsen (bass). After receiving rave reviews for her self-composed album "Transparency", Kristin has found an excellent musical partner in Andreas Amundsen. Together they have interpreted a selection of songs they both have a close relationship with. Standard songs, classics, evergreens, whatever you call them, it is highly beloved melodies the musicians have explored. Skaare plays as usual with convincing calm and tasteful tonal choice true to the melody but with permission to add her own signature. Amundsen communicates, hints and emphasizes with his distinct tone and melodic bass playing. Turned to Memories is a stylish, calm but also melodically powerful record that harmonizes perfectly with pensive autumn evenings. The album was produced by Kristin and Andreas, recorded at Musikkloftet with Vidar Lunden and mixed and mastered by Erik Nylander.
